David McAleese joins Larne FC Board

One of our Directors, David McAleese, was recently asked to join the board at Larne Football Club as part of a suite of new director appointments, alongside Human Resources expert Janice Hagan and local Commonwealth and Olympic athlete James McIlroy.  At the same time, the club saw the promotion of Neil Clarke to the role of vice chair working alongside Chairman Gareth Clements.

David commented:

“I was honoured to be asked to join the Board at Larne FC and am looking forward to working with a great group of enthusiastic and very capable people.

Having had an opportunity to attend the most recent board meeting as an observer, it was great to see the energy present around the management of the club.  While I’ve seen some of this over the last few years, both as an Academy coach and in the Club’s impact generally around Larne, it was even more apparent when discussing the new five-year “For the Town” vision and how the club can continue on the upward trajectory it started in 2017.

The club has phenomenal potential, some of which is already evident but with much more still to come.  I am very excited to join the Board and do what I can as part of the next phase of the Club’s journey”
