MacAllister McAleese advise Larne FC on equity raise

MacAllister McAleese were delighted to advise Larne Football Club on their recent minority equity raise, securing American partners with not only significant investment in mind, but also strategic alliances for the Club’s future development.

Larne FC, driven by majority shareholder Kenny Bruce and CEO Niall Curneen, has been noticed outside its usual catchment area, and this has led to investment from a major player in international sporting circles.

David McAleese, director in the firm, stated:

“It was great to work with Kenny in securing this investment for Larne FC.  The Club has garnered positive publicity not only in terms of domestic success, most recently winning the NIFL Premiership for the first time in the Club’s history, but in the way they have represented the town in European Competition over the past few seasons.

In addition to the Club’s on-field success, the stakeholders have worked tirelessly to enhance its commercial offering and social accountability, from academy level right to the top teams and the club’s board.  All of this hard work has attracted interest from around the globe.

The collaborative approach taken in concluding this investment, between principals and legal teams, was a real testament to the way the Club, and Scott as a new executive board member, intend to do business.  I have every belief this is the foundation for a very successful time ahead.”
